My Big Morning

I managed to sleep pretty well last night aside from all the IV beeping interruptions. I was woken up by one of the residents at 6:30am, and that was followed by a visit from the whole doctor team. They seem positive, and hope that I can just keep on doing this well for the next 12 weeks or so.

After my double portion breakfast was served, Josh took me for a wheelchair ride around the hospital. It was weird leaving my room for the first time in 3 days. We went down to the McDonald's that's on site and got coffee. It was very exciting. BTW - Isn't kind of weird that a hospital has a McDonald's on the premises? I don't mind; it gives me somewhere to go occasionally other than the drab cafeteria.

After our walk, I was still feeling spunky, so I even took a shower! Exciting, I know! Now I feel refreshed, in clean clothes, and am ready to see my first scheduled visitors of the day! Even though I am feeling really well this morning, I still know that I have to take it easy. I don't want to over do it.

Sounds like an exciting morning, I am glad your spirits are up. I was cracking up when I read Josh's most recent blog. Even though I can't comment on his since I am not a "blogger" I wanted him to know he made me and my co-workers laugh. I can't wait to see you guys tomorrow!

Actually, it wasn't his most recent blog, it was the one before. I love the sound effects..lol.

it's a good sign if you can go away, you look better.
but stay up in bed rest in maximum now, I hope that you have many DVD and tv channels lol

Just My Story...

Over the past three years my life has been flipped upside down. I am 31 years old and have 4 beautiful angel babies, who are fondly known as my “Green Beans”. The first of my quads, Heidi, held on as long as she could and was born on January 31, 2009 after pPROMing at 17 weeks. A few weeks later, I pPROM’d with my sweet Lily. Lily, Paige, and Rylan were all born at 22 weeks on February 23, 2009. Just after being released from the hospital empty handed, I returned with a high fever and infection. Two of the nights I spent in the hospital that week, I honestly thought I was going to die. It was the sickest and most hopeless I’ve ever been. I’m pretty sure my diagnosis was a broken heart.

My journey to parenthood has definitely had its share of happiness and heartbreaks. I got through every day by staying close to friends and family, blogging, and trusting in God that my future will be bright. All the love and support I’ve gotten has greatly helped me manage……I am alive and well, and want to be my absolute best as a result of this.

On May 1st 2011, we welcomed our sweet baby girl, Taylor, into this world. She is my miracle baby and brings so much joy and happiness to my life. She is my reminder every day that God is good and faithful.

I have come out of all of this with a better appreciation of life. I hope to make the best of this situation by helping others who will experience a similar loss.
