Life’s A Beach

We just got home from having a great weekend!  We did a lot of driving all around Florida, but it was great to get out and do something a little different.  Josh and I both had to go to Naples for work on Thursday, so instead of turning around the next day and driving home, we just made a long weekend out of it!  I (kind of) played hookie on Friday – if you count working until 2 and then headed to the beach.

It was our first time to Barefoot Island in Bonita Beach.  It was  muy bonita!  The weather was very hot, but there was a slight breeze on the beach, so it made it enjoyable.

On Friday night we met up with my Blog Bestie, Ashley & Chris!  We weren’t staying too far from them, so we picked a restaurant and met half way.  We went to Ted Montana’s Grill and each had some delicious Bison Burgers!  Yum!

On Saturday morning, Josh and I headed over to Staurt, FL where my cousin was getting married.  Most of my Mom’s side of the family came into town for the festivities.

2 JC and Susan had a beautiful relaxed, Florida style wedding.  A close family friend married them in her backyard that over looks a canal.  It was really hot that afternoon, but the ceremony outside was short and sweet.  Afterwards, we all migrated over to the reception to get the party started!

This was seriously one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever been too.  It might of had a little to do with all the Jello Shots that were served!  Lots and lots of Jello shots!

It was great catching up with some of my cousins.  And, we all danced until our feet hurt.  Once the reception died down, we moved the party to the pool at our hotel!

I was a fun-filled weekend, but I’m glad to be home now and getting prepared for my busy week ahead.
