How many weeks? 8
Showing? Uh, yes. I am definitely showing already! Do you see this belly?? I think my body remembers how big I got the with the Green Beans and is giving the baby plenty of room. I have a feeling I am going to have a full-term 9 pounder this time around! I don’t need maternity clothes just yet – but I did already break out the Bella Band to give me some extra room in my work slacks and jeans.
How am I feeling? This week I started experiencing some headaches. I thought it was caffeine withdrawals at first (because I went from drinking a Venti coffee to just one Keurig a day). It could be because of the caffeine, but it could just be pregnancy related. Who knows! Hormones are always to blame.
Doctor’s Appointment? Yes! I had an OB appointment and a sonogram this week. It was great to see the baby growing and with it’s heart beating away! My doctor gave me clearance to do some running. She said, if I’m used to it, then I can continue doing it. I had stopped all my running once I found out I was pregnant since I am really nervous to do anything in my first trimester.
Workouts? Since I got reassurance from my doc that I can do some running. I backed up my C25k app to week 3 and did that workout. It consisted of walk/run/walk intervals. I didn’t overdo it and felt pretty good afterwards.
Sleep? I am SO tired. I sleep at any chance I get! One night this week, I was in bed at 7pm. It wasn’t even dark yet!
Weight Gain? 2 pounds.
Baby Preparation? Nope. I want to wait as long as I can before getting anything “baby” setup. I am nervous (for obvious reasons) to get many preparations underway. I have plenty of time for that much later on. For now, I am just taking things day by day and week by week.
Likes/Dislikes? I like most foods, but I am just very opinionated on what I want or don’t want. Something will just pop into my head and I’ll want it. I either love it or hate it. This week I developed a repulsion to the Jello Mint Chocolate Moose cups. They were delicious and now the thought of them absolutely repulses me. I guess I should just throw them out so I don't have to look at them anymore. On the other hand, just like my last pregnancy, I loooove Publix subs! I get them about 3-4 times a week. When I’m on the road, I always look for Publix. They are healthy, delicious, and filling. They make me happy :)
