15 Week Update

How many weeks? I’m 15 weeks!  Greenie is now the size of an apple!   apple

15.1

My belly is still on par with how big I was with the quads at this point. 15 weeks

Flashback:  This 15 week pic that was taken when I was pregnant with the Green Beans takes me back to exactly how I was feeling at that time.  I was so oblivious.  The doctors were telling us everything was perfect and things were progressing well.  We had just found out we were having 3 girls and 1 boy!  I was at home, taking it easy, but not yet on bed rest.   It was just a few short weeks after this picture was taken that it all went down hill… fast.  It’s sad looking back, because at this moment, I was so happy.  I had no idea what I was in for…

It’s probably so wrong on me to keep comparing my pregnancy to the last one, but I don’t know how not too.

Maternity Clothes?  I definitely need maternity bottoms, but I’m still in the weird phase with shirts.  I need more room in my normal tops, but any small maternity top is still way to big.

How am I feeling?  Better than last week.  I’m trying to keep focus on the POSITIVES and just RELAX.

Doctor’s Appointment? This Wednesday!!!!!  (if we find out the sex of the baby on Wednesday, I’ll be making a special Thanksgiving day announcement)

Sleep?  I still love my sleep, but my excessive need for it has been getting better.

Weight Gain?  5 pounds

Baby Preparation?  Nothing new.  I enjoy listening to the baby’s heartbeat every night before I go to bed.

Likes/Dislikes? My food aversions seem to have gone away.  I think I’m starting to feel more “2nd Trimester like”!  My appetite is back to normal too.  Before, I had to snack on something literally every two hours or else I got really nauseous, but that has now subsided!  I can now get by on a normal eating schedule.  Thank God!  I was worried there that I was going to gain 100+ pounds if I kept having to eat like that :)

  10. Lauren,

As a precious friend once told me...you will compare until you can compare no more. And that is perfectly okay. It's part of our story.

How wonderful that you are feeling normal :) The second tri makes all the difference. However, like you, I too am struggeling with the wardrobe. Frusteration sets in when everything seems ill fitted. For now, I have resorted to tunic tops and leggings :)

Praying for you always and lifting you up.

    xxx
