19 Week Update

How many weeks? 19!  I am SO thankful to be 19 weeks and going strong.  It is the best feeling ever!  According to Baby Center, Taylor is about 6 inches long and weighs about 8.5 oz., and about the size of a large heirloom tomato!

How am I feeling?  I’m feeling better! :)  I still have a long way to go, but my fear and anxiety is easing up.  It’s also great to feel Taylor moving more and more!  Josh has felt her move a little bit too.  It’s so much fun!

Doctor’s Appointment? My Peri appointment is this Wednesday.  I’m looking forward to a cervical check – sounds weird, but it’s so true.  Its reassuring to hear that my cervix is holding up.

Weight Gain? 8 pounds.

Baby Preparation?  I still plan to paint the nursery next.  Things are busy up until the new year, so it probably won’t happen until January sometime.

Josh and I also agreed on a crib!  He wanted a dark wood crib and likes the modern look, and I wanted a white crib, so…. we found this and it’s the perfect compromise!

What I miss?  I miss working out so much.  I know I technically can do some light exercises now, but I’m just not comfortable doing it.  I fear my water will break, so why risk it?  I worry about the state my body will be in after the baby.  I’m trying not to worry too much about it, but it’s difficult to put that on hold for the time being.  Taylor is definitely worth it though!

  2. Happy wonderful 19 weeks! And what an adorable dress gorgeous girl :)

I too miss working out...very much! I also worry about what my body will look like after Little Bunny arrives. It's hard to let go of that, as weird as it seems, but SO worth it :) Like you, I'm afraid to do much, but do want to start pre-natal YOGA after Christmas. And maybe some walking ;) But as you say, anything more is not worth the risk.

Have a wonderful holiday sweet friend. Rub Taylor for me...and Little Bunny says hello :)

ps love the crib! I looked at cribs all day on line...think I found the perfect one, but not comfy ordering just yet. The anxiety is still there.

  5. You look great Lauren! There'll be plenty of time to work out after the baby comes and it will be great, therapeutic "you" time! Maybe we can do a 5K together when you're done? I did a 10K at the weekend for the first time. I was very slow but I did it!!
    Best wishes...Clare x
