1 Month! (updated with 1 mo. stats)

1

Taylor is 1 month old already!  Can you believe it?

We had fun doing a little photo shoot this morning.  I can’t get over how much she’s changed since her newborn pictures were taken.

The past 4 weeks have been a dream come true.  I have enjoyed every moment that I’ve spent with my little Taylor.  Even when I’m tired and have puke dripping down my shirt, I am still so happy to be caring for her.

I knew I wanted to be a mom, but I had no idea how much I would love it.  I knew I was going to love my child, but I am blown away at how much I love her.  I don’t think any thing can prepare you for how much you will actually love your child.

It has been so much fun watching Taylor grow.  I swear she changes right before my eyes!  She’s so alert now, she gotten much longer, and is very strong.  She enjoys tummy time and can move her head from side to side.  She even rolled over once, but I’m sure that was by accident.

She is a really easy, sweet baby.  She goes with the flow and can sleep and eat anywhere.  She loves to nap in her Boppy seat, and loves the outside, so we go for daily walks.

1 Month Stats:

8lbs. 7oz. (26th percentile)

21” long (50th percentile)

head circumference: 14.75" (64th percentile)

Taylor still wears newborn clothes.  Her 3 mo. clothes are huge on her.  She wears newborn or size 1 diapers; either will work.  She sleeps pretty well at night.  She will sleep in 3 to 6 hour stretches at night.  The hardest thing has been listening to all her grunting and gassiness at night.  It seems to be improving some now that I am keeping better track of what I’m eating.

Taylor just loves laying on her Daddy’s chest and napping.  They are so cute together.  Josh is a very attentive and hands-on Daddy.  She also resembles him and his Dad a lot.   I really don’t see any of me in her.  Maybe my chin, but that’s about it so far.

I am loving this stage in Taylor’s life, but I know it just keeps getting better!

  6. She is such a beautiful baby! It's been fun watching her change over the last few weeks.

Favor: Would you mind visiting my blog and leaving a comment on where you get her fabulous hair bows and headbands?? If it's Etsy, which shops? I am expecting a little girl in a couple weeks and would love her to be as stylish as Taylor! Thanks in advance!!

  9. Awe Lauren, she is beautiful. My gosh. And you certainly described that right or said that right reguarding the love you have for your sweet Taylor. The love I have for Sadie is just unexplainable. The love a mother can have for her unborn and born child its just astonding. My heart dances every time I see her and hold her.

Happy 1 month Taylor! They surely grow WAY too fast. Enjoy every single second with her and soak it all in. I *thought* I did that Sadie's newborn days and I am trying to get as much in as I can now. I keep looking at her, I could cry. I tell her, before I know it, you will be walking and talking and won't want your mommy anymore and your friends will be more important than mommy. Ah! I am thinking into the future! EEks..

Beautiful post and I love the new layout. Gorgeous!

  10. we have to get the girls together. I can't believe that they are a month old. I love the picstures and laughed at the diaper and outfit comment. Lily has never been in newborn diapers since birth and is already wearing 0-3 months as well as some smaller 3-6 months. All the newborn clothes I washed and put so neatly in the drawer maybe got used for the first 2 weeks. Anyway Tay is beautiful.
