Quiet Christmas

Merry Christmas!

We had such a nice (quiet) Christmas today!  Most of the family was out of town, so it was just Josh and I.  Our plan was to just take it easy and enjoy our last quiet Christmas, before our little Taylor arrives.

We started off the day opening some presents.  While we exchanged our gifts we baked a breakfast casserole that I prepared the day before.  I made a few modifications to the recipe, but it turned out delicious!

I put the cheese in for a little too long, but other than that, it was great!

My new Green Bean ornament arrived just in time to hang on our Christmas tree too.

It was really fun opening up the gifts that Taylor got.  So many cute little pink things! :)  One of my favorites, was her very first sleep sack.   Josh and I both love a baby in a sleep sack; it’s just the cutest thing!  I can’t wait to see her in it!

I absolutely love the Christmas gifts Josh got me!  I got a new camera lens and strap.  I’ve been having fun playing around with it today.lense                 strap

The highlight of my morning was Skyping with my family in Austin, TX.  I got to see my 3 nieces and 2 nephews open up all their Christmas gifts!  It was like we were right there with them.  I hope to Skype more with them since we only get to see each other about once a year.

This afternoon, after watching ‘Christmas Vacation’ and taking a leisurely nap, Josh and I went to the movies to see ‘Little Fockers’.  After the movie we came home and played a game of Scrabble.  It was a close game, but he beat me :)

It’s getting late now, and the day is now winding down.  I’ve changed into my “fat” pants to relax and it just started raining outside.  A perfect conclusion to a wonderful quiet Christmas!

  8. We had a quiet Christmas as well...me, hubby and my Mom. The rest of our family was on the West Coast between Nevada and Seattle. Although quiet, it was wonderful. And we even welcomed my nephew (3 weeks early, but doing great) to the world on the 22nd :) He decided that he wanted to see Santa!

Lovin' the sleep sac! So happy you had a wonderful holiday and I could steal your water intake ap ;) I have such a hard time keeping up with it, but do my best cause we need the H2O. Kudo's to Josh for his brilliance!

Hugs and have a happy New Year...rub Taylor for me.
