A Few of My Favorite Things…

I am in love with The Naked pallet from Urban Decay at Sephora!  You must go check it out.  My friend works for Sephora and has turned me on to so many of their great products.  The downside is, I am no longer satisfied with the drug store makeup products.  They quality just can’t be beat.  I was going to buy two eye shadows, but then realized that for just a little more I got all the colors I needed plus a bunch more that I would wear.  This pallet is full of colors that I love and is an updated twist on the boring beiges.  

 

If you are a Starbucks junky like me, then you MUST get this app.   Did you know that if you pay for your Starbucks with a gift card and just keep refilling it with funds, then you earn free drinks and discounts?  You have to register your gift card online and set up a little account on Starbucks.com, but that was very simple to do.  Then, every time you use that card, you get rewards! 

Okay, so back to the app….

You just link your registered gift card to this app, then every time you buy something, they just scan the barcode on your phone and it deducts right from your account!  All you have to do is search for “starbucks” in  your app store, then set it up online.  One little problem I noticed with it, is you can’t get the barcode to pop up to pay if you are talking on the phone, at least that is the case with Verizon.   

 

I recently discovered these and they are the best little snacks.  Perfectly portioned in 100 calorie packs and dusted with cocoa, satisfies my need for something that is salty, chocolaty, and filling!  I keep them in my car when I’m traveling, so I have a quick and healthy snack to go to.

 

This Fedora from Tar-jay is my new favorite accessory!  I got it today on sale for just 10 bucks!  It’s perfect for hiding your unruly pool hair and still looking cute and fashionable!  I’ll be pairing this with a cover-up and a pair of shades by the pool this weekend! 

 

This dress is definitely one of  my favorite things these days!  I found this Max Studio maxi dress at TJ Maxx (wow, that’s a lot of “max”) for just $35, regularly $118!  Score!!  It is super comfy jersey knit material and is perfect for the hot Florida days.  You can dress it up or down and any which way.  Here are a few looks I threw together.

I Want!

I meant to take just a quick glance at the Old Navy promotional email sent out today, but it turned into to a little more than that.   I developed a serious summer dress obsession!  As I was browsing through, I came across tons of dresses that I want!  Old Navy is sometimes hit or miss for me, but they were right on today!  I think I’ll be placing an order.  I had to share what a few of my favs are….

Women's Rope-Belted Racerback Maxi Dresses

 

Yay!  I am so glad to see that the Maxi dresses are back in this summer!  They were my favs last summer when I was pregnant.  Sooo comfy and effortless.  You can dress them up or down; toss on your favorite jean jacket or cardigan in the evenings!  I love that this one looks somewhat fitted and the rope tie is a fun twist.

Women's Crepe Tie-Belt Dresses

Cute!  Cute!  Cute!  So girlie, pretty, and simple.  This is perfect for a stroll at the mall, or a casual dinner out this summer.  I think I’ll pair with some flats and accessorize with a long necklace.

Love!  This was the first one that I picked out.  Again, an effortless dress that will work day or night.  Totally snagging this one up!

Women's Belted Cap-Sleeve Dresses

Cute and casual!  This is a great summer alternative to the usual shorts and tank. 

Women's Braided Espadrille Wedges

These are a must-have in my book!  I’ve been looking for a new pair of tan wedges.  I am usually picky about how high the shoes are, since I am already tall, but these should do.  I need to try them on though, so this won’t be part of my online purchase. 

Women’s Button Front Linen Romper

 

I think I need to try this one on because I bet it’s super short.  I think it’s so cute and again, a great alternative to the standard shorts and tank top look.  I picture this dressed up with lots of bracelets and wedges, or worn casual with flips.

I Heart Fall

I’m excited that Fall is right around the corner!  In Florida, we don’t really get a real Fall.  It’s more like a slightly cooler, slightly less humid summer, but still… it’s an excuse to break out some of my favorite Fall fashions!

A few of my favs are…

Scarves!

Scarves are the best!  I miss wear scarves during the summer.  Even the light airy ones are just too darn hot for the Florida summer.  Once October hits, I don’t care what the temp outside it – it’s time to wear scarves!   I love adding a fun scarf to a basic outfit.  Its a great way to dress up a plain t-shirt and add a splash of color.

Boots!

I just bought these gray suede boots and can’t wait to wear them.  Right when the weather finally dips below 80 degrees I will be wearing these!  They are going to look fabulous with some skinny jeans or leggings.

Baby Hats!

All Taylor knows is the hot summer days, but soon enough, I’ll get to torture her with these cute crochet baby hats!  Who can resist a baby in one of these?
